That's what they claim but it's limited to channels within the parent channel, i.e. CH2, CH2.1...2.5. You can't watch channel 5, as an example while recording CH2.x The only way to watch CH5 is to change the TV's input to TV, assuming you're using only an OTA. Meanwhile, the PVR is recording whatever channel it is tuned to. My PVR is connected to the TV via HDMI, which is it's own input; toggle between the 2, no problem.

It is an Over The Air TV box that can convert the antenna signal from the RF-In on the back of the TV box to the antenna itself. In terms of recording it is not a dual tuner. You can only record one show at a time and you must be on that channel during recording.
