• I don't actually know the answer, but it does have the RCA video and audio out, so it may be possible, although it appears that the USB port in the front is designed to record to a hard disc. Sorry I could not have been more helpful

• We have never tested the unit to do such a thing. It might work but it depends on how the DVD recorder converts the video and audio. As long as the DVD player has analog over-the-air video conversion and analog audio to digital conversion this could work. The TV Box is essentially built to convert Over The Air TV stations and send that to the TV via HDMI or RCA red, white, and yellow cable. An Indoor Antenna must be used with this unit.
