You might be able to. It depends on how your cable box outputs protected and copyrighted content. It was built more so for streaming apps that allow content to be streamed to different devices. Cable companies are tricky in this regard because they govern every little detail and often the apps and hardware. But if you try just be sure to know when your return date is just in case the unit does not work out for you.
