• If you have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto built in to work with usb, and have a usb port, it should work. If you already have wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto built into the vehicle, then that should be used and this would be unnecessary.

• As long as the CarPlay or Android Auto are built into the car first then it will work. If your vehicle needs to get the app software from the phone via a direct USB hookup. Some vehicles do not have the icon and app software built into the car stereo and only pull that data off the phone as long as it's connected via USB.
