First of all read up on the washer. the washer puts in a little water turns puts in some more turns and so on. The light comes on when the lid locks.

I believe that is the normal operation of this washer

john- This unit is designed to stop and turn itself to sense whether or not there is an unbalanced load. If the sensing light is flashing and the machine is not going into the wash cycle, then the load may need to be adjusted.
