• Cold water would be based on how cold your tap water is. Hot water would be based on how hot the water from you water heater is. Living in Florida, my cold water might be 65 - 70 degrees, whereas someone living in the great white north might experience 40 degree cold water. A cool wash might be a better choice in that case.

• Do not know. Water heater is set at 160 F. Cold is about 60 F (well water). The machine mixes hot and cold to satisfy what you set for for temperature (cold, coo, warm, and hot).

• THE HOT FUNCTION DOES NOT WORK ON THIS MACHINE!!!! YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO USE HOT SETTING! THEY PURPOSELY MADE IT THAT WAY!
