Thanks Zorro and Amana Team, I did go to Best Buy, showed them the photos, and they agreed to swap out the damaged machine for another one. Fingers crossed the next one is in better shape. Am amazed that something like that could get by Amana/Whirlpool Quality Control (assuming there is one or that they inspect new units).
