“What is the difference between HE detergent and regular? What will happen if you use regular detergent? Just curious. I'm getting this washer and have several bottles of regular laundry detergent.”

I talked to a guy in dollar general and he said most all detergents now are HE. He showed me the symbol on the bottle as i could not find it.

Your washer uses less water than traditional machines. With less water, the wash action can create too much sudsing when regular detergent is used. With HE detergent, there will be significantly fewer suds produced. HE detergent provides the right amount of suds for the best performance in high-efficiency washers. Use the correct amount of HE detergent based on load size. Most liquid detergents are now concentrated and are labeled 2x or higher. This means only a small amount is needed for a good cleaning.
