• alfista, the timer on the controls is electronic.

• I wish I could answer your question. I am not having it delivered until September, hopefully. One other thing I can tell you though, I was not looking for a machine with lots of bells and whistles. The more of them, the more problems can occur. I am not saying it doesn't have any at all, just saying that was not what I was looking for.
