The power plug is a standard 3-prong plug that plugs into a regular household electric outlet. (It's my understanding that only electric dryers require special electric, but not washers.) Attached is a photo of the actual plug on my washer's cord

When they delivered it, it didn't have one attached but the plugs are able to be either a 3 or a 4 prong plug depending on which receptacle you have installed in your house already. The delivery guys gave me a plug based on what receptacle I had in my house.
