Hello, We would recommend balling up the clothing similar to the size of a soccer ball, and place around the agitator one at a time. We would also recommend stacking it up so it is around the sides and the agitator plate is visible with all of the clothing around it. Do not fill up past the 2nd to last row of holes in the basket to help avoid overloading. The bulky cycle will allow more water to enter the tub, but will not spin on the highest spin setting. Hopefully this information is beneficial to you. Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Amana appliances!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Odds are, you're filling it TOO full / too many clothes /items. You're trying to wash too many items at one time. OR, you're forgetting to add soap. J-K Also, if you wait too long, let your clothes sit dirty too long, the fabric is basically dyed the color of whatever is causing your clothes to be called "dirty" The machine is designed to clean clothes by the movement of the agitator, causing the clothes to circulate inside the tub. The clothes don't go around the agitator, they stay in 1 area but, move from the top of the water to the bottom of the tub, in a circle, many times. --Too many items in the washer, clothes only giggle and DO NOT come clean The small, round clothes basket, filled so that it is SLIGHTLY rounded with dry clothes, at the top of the basket, is a good amount of clothes for a washing machine. A washing machine is rated for a set amount of lbs of WET clothes / items, not the weight of dry items. Items are to be "placed" in washer, not jammed. You're washing clothes, not squeezing grapes
