Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My manual says it is High Efficiency. If you just purchased a new washer then I would suspect that it is a (HE). Regardless of having the same model or not, it is recommended that you use (HE) detergent. If you use other laundry soap that is not (HE) your washer may run a longer cycle, not rinse as good as it would with (HE). Over time build up of mold and mildew may occur. If you don't have an (HE) washer than use whatever you would like. If you do have a (HE) it is recommended that you use (HE) detergent. I personally use both, depending on what is on sale when I need to buy laundry soap. Hope this helps.
