Q: QuestionI am replacing an Amanda AKS3020/40. The drawer underneath had to be modified to accommodate the fixed gas pipe on the cooktop that the flex line attaches to. It is located in the right rear. Will this be a direct swap out?

Q: QuestionIs the stainless steel version of this cook-top truly "Stainless Steel" or is it some other metal (e.g. steel, aluminium)? ALSO, what are the differences between this Amana model and the Whirlpool equivalent (model # WCG51US0DS)?

• A:Answer theCase, There are slight differences between model AGC6540KFS and WCG51US0DS. The cooktop surface material is Stainless/Porcelain Coated Steel. On model AGC6540KFS, the knobs are black on stainless. While both cooktops have 4 burners, this model has a 5,000 BTU Left Front burner (which is a Simmer burner), 12,000 BTU Left Rear SpeedHeat Burner, 9,100 BTU Right Front Sealed Burner, and a 12,000 BTU Right Rear Sealed Burner. There are two grates that are Cast Iron and have a gloss finish. This model Cooktop is Height, Side, and Front ADA Compliant. With model WCG51US0DS, the knobs on stainless steel models are stainless steel. This model has a 5,000 BTU Left Front burner (which is a Simmer burner), 15,000 BTU Left Rear SpeedHeat Burner, 9,100 BTU Right Front Sealed Burner, and a 12,000 BTU Right Rear Sealed Burner. There are two grates that are Cast Iron and have a Matte finish. This model Cooktop is Height, and Side Reach ADA Compliant. In addition, information on the cutout requirements for both cook-tops are the same and can be found in the installation instructions beginning on page 4, http://bit.ly/2Cgxi9p.
