Is this self evaporating? Do you have to drain? null

There is a pan for condensation and it does have a drain plug. The instructions say the unit will switch off and display "FL" as an indicator to drain the pan, but beyond that there is no mention of drainage. From what I know about air conditioners in general, I would say the pan evaporates the water unless the local humidity keeps that from happening. Whether or how often you need to drain would depend on your location and local humidity levels.
