On high does burner turn red? null

Yes, but not for long. The overheating feature turns it off for a minute or two, then turns back on for a minute or two, etc. Totally useless when you need to maintain a consistent cooking temp.

Hi! The outer element coils will remain on all the time but may appear to not "glow". The inner coil will cycle on and off and glow red when it is cycling on. It will glow, then turn off and on, as the burner is being used. This is normal operation.
