- Answer YES!!!! Amana is owned and manufactured in AMERICA by Whirlpool! So it's one of the very few brands not made out of cheap scrap parts in china.

QuestionDescription says the cord is 5.9 inches. Is that correct or a typo? Awfully short. I presume it’s not good practice to use an extension cord. Even a heavy duty one.

QuestionCan the side panels be secured to non-wooden windows? It’s not possible to drill into them to fasten the panels.

- Answer I use clear packing tape. Been using that for years. I don't like drilling into windows either. You may have some tape residue to clean up at the end of the season but with a little effort (Windex and a scraper) it does clean up.
