• I have heard of them for a while. I had a used one I bought 2yrs ago , from the sunday paper..And when It quit. Well, I went to best buy. But I have heard of the brand , I believe for sometime. Just as popular as "Whirlpool"!

• While I can't give you an exact answer, Amana is made by whirlpool and this dryer looks exactly like my whirlpool dryer I had for over 10 years. It operates the same too. I love it.
