• Hi Ed, yes the Balance 2 XT is able to make and answer calls through Bluetooth. You are able to respond to text messages if you have the watch paired with a Android smartphone only, you are not able to do this on iPhones. Michael | Amazfit Support

• You can voice respond to SMS text messages, but only using a few texting apps such as Google's native texting app or with GoSMS.
