This algorithm is based on the height, weight, and gender of the user. This means that if your arms are stationary while you are walking (i.e. your hands are on your bags or in your pocket while walking) it will not register your steps taken. With the latest algorithm update, our watch has stricter requirements for step counting. And the watch will filter out those unreal walking, like playing basketball, traveling by car or motorcycle. Hope you understand. To reduce errors, Amazfit sets an initial value of 10, which means it will count steps when you walk more than 10 steps. In other words, the APP will show the real walking steps and start counting from step 10. When you make 10 steps rest for 5 seconds, and make another 10 steps, the watch may not record your steps.
