You just ask questions or make requests, and Alexa will either answer you or do what you requested, i.e. "Alexa, set timer for 25 minuets." In 25 min. you will hear an audible alarm. "Alexa, play random songs from my play list." Your play list songs will play randomly, BUT if the volume is too loud, simply say "Alexa, lower volume."

The remote works great and it gives you the option of sticking it to your fridge since it has a Manet, or the sticky thing. Either way both options are good, believe me you will not regret it.
