In order to connect this device to the Internet, you would need to have your device plugged in to a power outlet, have it in set up mode if it isn't already (Alexa will tell you she is ready for setup, if she does not, you can press and hold the action or circle button for 5 seconds and then she will tell you), then you complete setup using the Alexa app on your smartphone. Be sure you have your smartphone connected to the WiFi network that you plan to connect your Echo to and also be sure to be logged in to your Amazon account in the Alexa app that you plan to set your Echo up with. Q: QuestionShould the Echo device stop accepting instructions after it's been playing music for a while? Currently, I need to push the reset button for it to accept a new instruction - for example to play different music - after it's been playing a while.

• A:Answer This happened to us as well. I unplugged the device, waited a few seconds and it was fine after that. I understand that happens when the device gets confused but why it happens after it's been playing music for a while is beyond me, but that's what happens. Have not found a better solution than unplugging for a few seconds.
