Yes if you add the app to your phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Home Automation is controlled by account, not geographic location. For that reason, you can absolutely give Alexa commands away from the house. The Amazon app has Alexa built into it now, but I've personally come to prefer an app named Swift (iOS) for this purpose.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I dont think you can give it commands. But I turn on music from away from home for my animals by going into Alexa app and selecting the icon on the bottom right of the screen (I forget the name of icon) and then select one of the previous channels I listened to.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No unfortunately you can't, but how cool would that be right? I think the limiting factor is you would need some sort of hub at home to send and receive signal from your phone to your Echo dot. Similarly to how an Apple TV acts as a HomeKit hub.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. You need to be home and within range of an Alexa device. Your phone can't do that. Perhaps there will be a way in the future. Nothing surprises me.
