Depends on the system. I have echo dot wired to my old Bose stereo. Tried to link to Bose soundlink portable Bluetooth speaker but that didn’t work. I have read the newer Bose systems will link via Bluetooth with echo but can’t confirm.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can use bluetooth, but a audio cable works better using the AUX on the Bose. I've tried both anf stayed with the cable. Best Buy has a great Bluetooth unit from Rockford that works great with my Bose, but the cable is still better

I am pretty sure it is the same thing for the Bose System if it has Bluetooth. it can connect to your speakers or headphones over Bluetooth or through a 3.5 mm audio cable to deliver stereo sound to the speakers you choose.

I have my echo.connected to a portable Bose speaker that is across the room and they are connected by Bluetooth. I just say echo play and then I will mention the album and it says OK playing whatever and the music is wonderful. I have bought to echo dots for that exact purpose. Enjoy!
