• Lifx bulbs work without the hub. If you use a hub you have to go with what the hub maker recommends.

• Since you already have the dot and Alexa setup, just ask her what surveillance systems she supports.

• In order to get hue to work you will need the bridge which you already know, but I am not sure what you are referring to when you say Surveillance
