I would get 2. I bought 2 as a gift for someone with the same sqft, and there's one in the bedroom and one located between the kitchen and the living room. If, for some reason, you use Alexa in the bathroom, then get 3.

But with the way dots work, if they all hear you, only the closest one will respond. I would say one for Bedroom, since that's a closed room usually, and then depending on how open the area is, you can get more for different rooms. But if the rooms lead into each other and are more of an open concept, I would say to just do one for a room like that.
