A:AnswerThanks! I ended up upgrading. I left my old echo dot 2nd gen puck with battery pack on our patio and it got rained on and ruined. My husband gave me his to use for now and I only listen to music while I am getting ready to go out or to work in the bathroom. I may try to sell it to make up the cost of the $25 battery pack I want.
The guy at Best Buy said he has this one and it sounds good and it will be a noticeable difference from my puck style 2nd gen. I read a 5th might out in a couple months but I eneded up getting this for $29.99 they matched Targets price they were $39.99 and they let me use my $15 in rewards I just have to wait for it to come in and go pick it up. So I paid $15.89
A:AnswerYou can comnect multiple dots together. I have 2 dots and an echo and they are in different rooms. You just have to go into the app and set up an all room/dot option and then tell it to play music in the all rooms group or hower you label it.
A:AnswerI think the sound quality is very good for what the device is. It isn't going to give you high end club sound but it is really good for the size and what the device is. You can adjust the sound in the app. If you have a best buy close to you go in and see if they have any set up and give a listen. Different Alexa devices have different sound qualities
A:AnswerMinimal interaction with SS. IT’s why I got rid of SS. Its not Echo/Alexa’s problem. SS has minimal interaction with all smart assistants. Pretty much arm/disarm…that’s it. I need something to flash lights when the alarm sounds due to hearing issues. Can’t do that with SS. It doesn’t interact with smart home systems.
A:AnswerYes they have several models of wireless ring doorbell’s but they cost a little more than the basic wired ring doorbell cam which is usually 45 to 65 depending if it’s on sale or not.
A:AnswerThe smaller echo dot on sale is 30 or 35 depending if it has a clock. The large dot is 60 on sale and it always says premium sound and that is the difference between them, it is much larger, has xtra speakers and yes music does sound much better with the large echo.
A:AnswerThe echo dot 4th generation is a smart speaker. It's the same as the 3rd generation disk only newer. The echo 4th generation is a smart hub with a larger and more premium speaker. Compare it to one of the show devices like the show 5 or 8, just without the video screen.
