• Hi KEL! The Echo Dot 5th Gen does not feature a smart home hub, so you cannot directly connect Phillips Hue devices to it. The Phillips Hue Hub, which enables much more fine control of Phillips Hue accessories, would still be necessary to enable the full set of Phillips Hue features. You can use the Phillips Hue skill to control all your devices using Alexa via the Echo Dot though, which is how I control most of the lights in my home. To add Skills to Alexa, just select 'Skills & Games' under 'More' at the bottom right of the free Alexa app. Search for Phillips Hue and follow the instructions to link things up. The Phillips Hue app should also have instructions for linking with Alexa. I hope that helps, have a great rest of your day!
