• Hello Charles, Yes, you can set your Echo Show 8 to just display the clock on the main screen with your choice of background. To do this you would just need to got to Settings and select 'Home Content' and then toggle off all options you do not want to see and it will then revert back to only displaying the clock. Also, if you want to select a background, you would do this under settings by just selecting 'Display' and choose from the options available. I hope this helps, have a great day!

• Nope. I wanted it for that purpose, but it doesn't do it. Get a echo show 5 and use it for the clock. It's a lot cheaper.
