The Show has one 1.4'' speaker and the Spot two 2'' speakers. That is the only difference besides overall size and screen size.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To add to the prev answer, the Show also has the Drop In feature that automatically accepts incoming video or voice calls. Many people set this up for their technically challenged family members or baby/pet/home monitoring. There's lots of limitation you can set of course (when, who, etc) for security purposes. The screen size itself makes them suited for very different purposes. The smaller screen is best for times when a quick glance is useful (time, doorbell cam, etc) and the larger for when you'll really be looking at the screen (recipes, videocalls, etc).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is the same basic functionality but the screen is much smaller and the speaker much weaker on the Spot. The screen on the Spot isn't nearly as readable or as functional as the screen on the Show. If you really need an Echo with a screen, I would wait for the Show to go on sale and spring the extra few dollars. The screen on the Spot doesn't really add much.
