Hello Witchking28! Amazon recently overhauled the Echo Studio. While neither version technically contains a standalone "subwoofer" in the traditional sense, they both use a dedicated woofer to handle deep bass. The latest version of the Studio is 40% smaller than the original. To fit into this compact spherical shape, the internal hardware has changed significantly: Built-in Woofer: It features a 3-inch high-excursion woofer. The Bass Experience: Because the device is much smaller, reviewers note that while the bass is clear and impressive for its size, it lacks the "room-shaking" power of the original model. Subwoofer Status: It does not have a built-in subwoofer. It relies on digital signal processing to simulate deep lows. I hope this helps!
