“Does this tablet have a sim slot for internet not just wifi connect”

• Hello Lost! This device, as well as the entirety of our current Fire tablet lineup, is only connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi. There is no SIM slot nor is there any carrier support for this device. You can use your cellphone as a hotspot if your plan offers that feature, however.
