• The option for the credit card info is for purchasing apps on your tablet. I also did not want my personal financial information entered at start-up. I chose the 'skip' option and bypassed the credit card info then continued with the prompts to set up my account.

• Im not sure you can skip it. I think it asks for a pin or password to buy anything though. I didn't like having a pin for main screen.
