Hi Rubester! While I don't have a ton of experience with San Disc's MP3 players, it looks like they generally just use a micro SD card for storage. If that's the case, then you'd be able to insert a micro SD card set for external use (you'll be asked when you first place it in the tablet) to load up MP3s and other files to the SD card for use in the player. You would just need to confirm that the service you are using to purchase or download your MP3s will work with a Fire Tablet, for example you can access Amazon Music via the included Silk browser and download MP3s you've purchased on Amazon directly.
