“Can I download Google/Android Apps from Google Play?”

Hello Ed! The Google Play store is not available on this device yet many of the apps you would need may be available from the Amazon Appstore for download. This device runs on Fire OS and not your typical Android OS so there is a specialized Appstore that is used for this purpose to maintain compatibility.
