The things on each corner that hold the tablet to the cover pushes on the power button and it I have had to move the thing that holds each corner in order to power on and when I want the screen back up after the Lock Screen has timed out. I was told this by employees at my local Best Buy that I needed one specially compatible with the Amazon Fire 8 tablet. They will only allow you to return items 14 days after they are purchased, so luckily I am able to return the Targus as I purchased a compatible tablet cover for this tablet today.
