• We have one for our 6 year old, and one for our 10 year old. They both enjoy them! When you setup the Amazon Free Time Unlimited it asks for the age of the child and shows stuff appropriate for that age.

• No, you can set up teen accounts even. If you take it out of freetime it is a standard fire tablet, just pull the rubber bumper off.

• You can have it in the "adult" profile which is a standard kindle fire view if that is preferred to the large icon carousel version. Still great deal for replacement and one year of freetime from Amazon.
