The TV will give you the Qualty that the Arc can receive but you will need an Arc compliant HDMI CORD. The AV receiver will not need an Arc classified cord because it will not be compatible.

In the photo below. The input on the Sony Video 1, does not say "ARC" on the input but it is taking the input as HDMI ARC from the Cube. Not sure if that matters. Alternatively, there is an adapter from HDMI ARC out -> in Adapter PCM out -> in the receiver. I had one a long time ago and it was buggy.

The Cube will use different IR codes to control the devices rather than ARC. For example, I’m using a receiver and a projector with my setup and the projector lacks HDMI arc, but the Cube is still able to power on the projector and the receiver, and switch the receiver input over to where the Cube is connected by simply hitting the power button on the remote. The Fire cube helps you set this up when it is first powered on, and controlled devices can be adjusted in the settings. I hope this answers your question and that you have a wonderful day!
