Hello TvDave! If you are referring to 5G home internet through your wireless provider then the issue could be with the stability of the signal. So Wi-Fi may not be your issue, especially since both this device and your 4K Max use Wi-Fi 6 and if your router supports Wi-Fi 6 then you should be getting a rather solid connection. You can definitely try the Ethernet port and hard wire it directly since you will always get a more stable connection wired vs wirelessly but keep in mind that the max speed the Ethernet port on this device supports is 100Mbps so there is a chance that your Wi-Fi speeds are much faster than that depending on your service provider and plan. I hope this helps clear some of that up and that you have a fantastic day!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ethernet hard connect will always always be much much better for any kind of streaming than Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi was not designed for streaming and it's a miracle that it works at all. So always hardwire all Network dependent systems if you possibly can.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.5Gb internet is just showing off. My internet is 1Gb, and I can stream 4KUHD streaming on two big screens, while two kids run their PCs and smartphones, with bandwidth to spare. I did have to upgrade my mesh network from 500Mb to 1Gb to distribute all that bandwidth, but it's overkill on wifi, no ethernet required. If you run a test on your system and find it doesn't recommend UHD for your network, then the bottleneck is not your streaming device.
