• It works on both, if you don't have the wired ethernet cable installed it will work with wifi. It has the new 6E wifi capability. Either or works fine.

• Hello Phil, Thank you for your question. Fire TV Cube can be WIFI (6E or earlier) or via Ethernet port at the back. Have a great day!
