“Hooking up the firestick to port and automatically changed to HDM12. Couldn't get it to change back to HDM1. Completely disconnected the firestick and on a black tv scree still shows HDM12..? I can I change it back. I think this change has also effect”

That is a TV issue. Use the remote to change the input. You may need to go into the settings menu to do so but very unlikely. Read your owner manual or Google the TV model number and find a copy to look at.
