• no you do not i use lots of tvs to use my firestick

• yes you do need a digital tv. if you have the old square tv you can use a roku express plus with the red white and yellow plugs if you dont have the red white and yellow plugs on your tv you can buy a converter that screws onto your cable input and then plugs into the wall that you can plug the red white and yellow plugs into the converter.
