I am also a former Nook user. I still prefer it's B & W screen for outdoor reading. The Kindle Fire HDX is a great product, but difficult to see in bright light. NO PROBLEMS with charging issues after 6 months of use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely none. The charging ports on Kindle e-readers and Fire Tablets and carefully designed to allow no wiggle room when the charger is inserted. This prevents the internals from getting damaged which is a common cause of charging issues.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No charger problems here. I had a chance to use a nook...didn't like it. But I had a kindle first so I'm really not bias haha I haven't had any trouble with my kindle and have owned one for a year now. Absolutely love it!
