The Kindle paperwhite browser is an "experimental browser" with limited internet functions. I get Kindle internet capability because I pay for Wifi at my house. It's not like a phone. Kindle paperwhite is good for non-glare reading words.

If you want internet or app access you'll need a Fire tablet. The 7" version can be had for less than the price of a new Paperwhite.
