The title says it has ads "Ad-Supported",and they appear on the "lock screen" when powered off and the bottom of each page (though some say you can suppress those). You can't have your current book cover displayes as lock screen image, and the ads are book-related so no so obnoxious. However know that for $15 or $20 you can get them removed through Amazon customer service (go to Help and keep saysing "something else" until they give you a choice for a representative or agent)
