• The case itself, sure. But to be clear, it is not a waterproof case for the device itself. Merely a water safe fabric case so if you spill something on the case it isn’t going to be a problem.

• Hi Kcends! The Kindle Paperwhite and Colorsoft are both waterproof devices themselves, described on Amazon's site as "Waterproof (IPX8), tested to withstand immersion in 2 meters of fresh water for 60 minutes." So you should be fine if there's an accidental mishap, you just might want to take the Kindle out of the case so that they dry a bit faster. I hope that helps, have a great rest of your day!
