It comes with a protective cover, the Kids+ subscription, and the worry-free replacement guarantee. The kids mode is locked off from the regular Kindle store, so kids won’t see titles geared towards adults. But they can download anything for their age group for free. You can exit kids mode with a parent PIN, and then it functions just like a regular Kindle Paperwhite.
