• Yes, this version is the one with special offers. They are unobtrusive, only on the lock screen, and actually can be quite useful sometimes.

• Mine came with ads. It saves you about $20. If you don't like the ads, you can go on your account and remove the ads for about $20. I thought I would hate the ads, but they don't bother me.

• It comes with book recomendations based off of your purchases in the form of a book cover image in black and white when you first turn it on to read. Then you swipe and it opens your book to your page you were last on.
