Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. The devices are tied to the account and not the network. A relative has devices in two different houses they can control through Alexa from either location.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.According to CNET: It might not shock you to learn this $25 (£25) plug only works with Alexa, so don't expect Google Assistant or Siri compatibility. If you're all-in on Alexa gear, this smart plug is fine, but there are better models out there, like the TP-Link Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Plug with Power Monitoring, that provide more customization and broader compatibility. According to Amazon: Compatible with Amazon Alexa, Echo, Echo Dot, and Google Home Assistant for voice control.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've found out that the controlling device and the smart plug does have to be on the same network while attempting to either program or turn on the plug. However, you can program the smart plug to turn off after a set amount of time or to turn on and off at a set time and any day of the week. Once you program the smart plug it will work on its own. Very easy to program via the WEMO app on my smart phone.
