Hello Pat! There is no need to sync your Amazon Smart Plug with your computer, you can complete the entire setup from your mobile device. Here's how: Download and install the Alexa app from your mobile device app store. Add the Alexa widget for easy home screen access.

1. Open the app store on your mobile device.
    2. Search for Amazon Alexa app.
    3. Select Install.
    4. Select Open and sign in with your Amazon Account.
    5. Install Alexa widgets (optional).
After you have the app downloaded follow these steps: 
    1. Plug your device into the wall.
    2. Open the Alexa app .
    3. Open More and select Add Device.
    4. Select Plug.
    5. Follow the instructions to setup your device.

I don’t think so, I linked mine with my Alexa speaker through my Alexa app so that you can ask her to turn whatever is plugged into it on and off.

Not sync. All you need to do is add it to your Alexa account.
