No. It's Alexa-enabled. You can either talk to it through an Echo device, OR, you can download the Alexa app and use that.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure but I would imagine you need to plug a device that is ALexa-enabled. I bought it to use with my daughters Amazon Echo Show 5. It is my understanding that in order for Alexa to work on these items you need to plug them into the Amazon Smart Plugs. If you try to plug in a regular item that is not supported by Alexa I don't think you could get Alexa.

That's a great catch, unfortunately the Amazon Smart Plug does NOT have Alexa Built in, but works seamlessly with Alexa and specifically the Alexa app on your phone. So you'll still need to use the Alexa app, or an Echo device (or something that DOES have Alexa Built In) to control it.
